(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 31, 2013 ) WASHINGTON DC, –Flex Academies Afterschool Program Grows
Flex Academies worked with Westland Middle School’s PTA and successfully helped them build and maintain a more robust after school program with a strong revenue-sharing component. “After trying any number of models, we’ve finally come up with something that works. Westland now has the after-school programming we’ve aspired to, but never were able to produce,” says Alysa Emden, former PTA president at Westland, the 2011 Montgomery County Council of PTA’s President of the Year Award, and a member of the Flex Academies’ board of directors.
This year, Flex Academies has partnered with the PTAs at Westland, Lakelands Park Middle School, and Sligo Creek Elementary School. Flex Academies is also set to provide activities for the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington. “The approach, the instructors, and the revenue share make Flex a no brainer for the PTAs and gives us a welcome opportunity to have a positive impact and enrich the lives of the more than 2,500 kids at the three schools,” says Joshua Chernikoff, Flex Academies’ CEO.
“We strive to help PTAs so they can provide a more efficient after-school program and create a revenue stream as well,” says Chernikoff. “For each school, Flex Academies covers every aspect of the program from customized websites for the school, registration, parent communications, insurance, and generous profit sharing.”
The expansion will continue in the fall of 2013 as Flex Academies hopes to partner with at least ten new schools.
