• Do not place the tree where it blocks an exit
• Use lights for their intended purpose, indoor/outdoor
• Check all lights for broken sockets or frayed wires.
• Replace burned-out bulbs with the correct wattage
• Do not use electric lights on a metallic tree
Fireplaces and Space Heaters
• Do not burn wrapping paper in fireplaces
• Use a screen in front of the fire place
• Be careful with fireplace decorations and be sure to keep them well away from flames
• Make sure outlets are designed to handle the load with electric heaters and do not plug anything else into the socket with the heater
• Be sure to use only the correct fuel with kerosene heaters and do no overfill them. Always refuel outside after the unit has cooled off
