(EMAILWIRE.COM, January 10, 2013 ) Detroit, MI – The Detroit Pregnancy Test and Help Center (DPTHC) will host Sanctity of Life Weekend, a series of events designed to encourage women who find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy, beginning Friday, January 18, through Sunday, January 20, at Oasis of Hope Christian Church located at 933 W. Seven Mile Road in Detroit.
The weekend will start with the screening of “October Baby” (2012) at 6:30 p.m. The movie tells the story of a college girl who discovers she's been adopted after surviving an attempted abortion. Light refreshments will be provided, and the event is free and open to the public.
The weekend will conclude with a dedicated morning service beginning at 10 a.m. at Oasis of Hope Christian Church. A special pro-life message will be delivered by Pastor Claude Allen May, and benevolent offering proceeds will go towards DPTHC.
